Die Najade ist ein schlankes Salonboot, das 1907 in Groningen im Auftrag von Herrn H.E. Oving gebaut wurde. Nachdem das Boot jahrelang in Privatbesitz war, wurde es an den Kohleclub Wilhelmine Victoria verkauft. Nach einer gründlichen Restaurierung segelt die Najade seit 1999 in und um Amsterdam. Im Jahr 2022 wurde die Najade erneut komplett renoviert und kann nun mit Stolz als das Juwel auf Amsterdams Grachten bezeichnet werden. Die Najade ist ein Salonboot, das das ganze Jahr über für stilvolle Kreuzfahrten genutzt werden kann. Bei schönem Wetter können die Seitenwände geöffnet werden; im Winter ist dieses klassische Salonboot geschlossen und beheizt.

    Walking around Amsterdam Centraal, the Captain saw us and said "Hey, care to join us for a canal cruise?" We were looking to do a cruise anyway, but I had to use the bathroom first, which I expressed to the Captain. He said, "We've got a toilet onboard - cleanest of all the boats in Amsterdam." SOLD. And, for the love of all the pancakes and herring in the city, he was right. Not only this, but this was a seriously pretty boat - with long blue velour upholstered benches and sewing-style tables at various intervals. This made it more homey and more open than the other boats out there - as far as we could tell. We had a serenely comfortable, intimate cruise. The Captain was funny yet professional, and the attendant, Jule, was so sweet and helpful - curious too about the backgrounds of her guests. As we are American, she shared her experiences when she visited the US. Jule thinks she needs work on her English, but she's better than most native speakers - with the finesse of a diplomat - right Arizona (she'll get the reference).
