A la carte menu Van De Kaart

If you choose the menu Van De Kaart then you and your guests can choose what you eat during the cruise.

Restaurant Van De Kaart has created a quarterly changing special 3-course menu from which you and your guests can choose an appetizer, main course and dessert. While sailing to the Prinsengracht, our staff takes the order and communicates it to the restaurant. First, we cruise by for the appetizer and then we pick up the main course and dessert. All dishes are enjoyed while sailing and are served on chic tables set with white linen.

sAppetizers

1. Salmon​ Caipirinha
Marinated in lime, cane sugar, fresh mint and cachaça, served with Brazilian potato salad and a green herb dressing

2. Homemade Veal Pastrami
With capers, sweet-and-sour fennel, crispy onions and vadouvan mayonnaise


OR

3. Caponata di Amalfi (vegan also possible)
Salad of roasted and grilled vegetables with olives, raisins and tomatoes, served with mozzarella and garlic croutons

 

Main courses

1. Crispy Flat Iron Steak
Slow-cooked in an oriental style and with a crispy finish, served with mustard greens, Jerusalem artichoke mousseline and veal jus with black garlic

2. Surf & Turf
Roasted chicken breast and prawns with baby potatoes, green peas, mushrooms and lobster sauce with Espelette pepper


OR

3. Seared prime beef sirloin
Served with crisp potato croquettes, tender wild spinach and a rich peppercorn jus


OR

4. Vegetarian Gnocchi (vegan also possible)
With sautéed salsify, roasted garlic, wild spinach and a sauce of summer truffle and Parmesan

Desserts

1. Sticky matcha cake and yuzu coconut panna cotta

2. Selection of mature cheeses with fruit bread, walnuts, grapes and apple syrup

Special food needs, allergy or diet?

Do you have special dietary requirements or do we need to consider allergies? For us, this is not a problem at all. If you indicate your requirements in advance, our caterers will provide a custom buffet on board or some special dishes prepared separately. This way, someone with an allergy can still fully enjoy a delicious meal.
