Wine List

The wine list of Rederij de Nederlanden is very carefully compiled by our partner, Amsterdam wine specialist Arisz et al. Founder Allard Arisz won the prestigious Grand Prix Saint Hubert in 2011, proving he is an expert on wine. We knew this all along, of course. He calls himself a wine nerd which manifests itself in his particular taste for special wines. Especially for Rederij de Nederlanden, he periodically compiles a wine list with wines of allure that fit the image of Rederij de Nederlanden and at the same time are a very good complement to the catering on board.

Below is the wine list of Rederij de Nederlanden. We carry house wines (white and red) on board as standard. Interested in other wines from our wine list on board? Please notify us before the day of the cruise. We will then make sure the wine of your choice is on board.

Prices on the wine list do not include VAT.

House wines Red

from €29.50 per bottle

Juice of blackcurrants, a little spiciness of bay liquorice. A mouthful of wine makes this hot-blooded charm from the Aude the ideal drinks and bites or barbecue companion.
2. Somontano Roble, Bodegas Estada
Somewhat fuller red wine made from a blend of tempranillo, grenache, syrah and cabernet sauvignon. Black forest fruit, notes of vanilla and cedar through 3 months of wood aging.

House wines Rose

Elegant, classic Sancerre, with citrus and mineral stoniness. The distinctive flint scent is not lacking either.

Full-bodied White wines

from €49.50 per bottle
1. Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes, Domaine Pierre Vessigaud €49.50 per bottle
Smells stony, with fresh grape and apple fruit on the palate, but also possesses a very ripe, honeyed aspect, an oily structure and a smoky wood accent.
2. Condrieu le Chéry, Domaine Rémi Niero €79.- per bottle
Viognier doesn’t get any better than this. Of the postage stamp appellation of Condrieu in the Northern Rhone, the Chéry vineyard is considered grand cru, with its granite soil and southeast exposure.

Rose wines

1. Côteaux Varois en Provence, L’Oratoire Saint Andrieu €29.50 perbottle
Pale pink rosé from Provence with nice roundness from the addition of a handful of vermentino grapes.

Red wines, medium bodied

from €34.50 per bottle

Classic-style Rioja aged 12 months in American oak, offers generous vanilla and cedar alongside soft cherry fruit.

4. Châteauneuf du Pape, Domaine des Chanssaud €49.50 per bottle
The best place for grenache in France is here on the rolling boulders of the former Pope’s city. Cedar, cocoa and thick ripe fruit on the nose and a powerful palate with spice, thyme and mocha.
5. Brunello di Montalcino, Caparzo € 59.50 per bottle
Caparzo’s Brunello always has a classic signature, yet it is easily approachable. The family owns parcels in 3 regions near Montalcino, making it easier to adapt to the specific conditions of each growing season to get to the best bottle of Brunello.
